Chiasmus Day 2016

Today, August 16, 2016, marks the 49th anniversary of Jack Welch's discovery of chiasmus in the Book of Mormon. 49 years was a biblical 7 X 7 jubilee cycle. Here are seven things we did to commemorate:

• We published a substantive KnoWhy, #166, entitled "Why is the Presence of Chiasmus in the Book of Mormon Significant?"
• A new website "chiasmusresources.org" went live.
• Jack Welch, Lynne Wilson, and Taylor Halverson gave the first of four presentations at BYU Education Week introducing Book of Mormon Central.
• The Book of Mormon Central KnoWhy app went live in the Google Play Store and the Apple iTunes Store. Search "knowhy" to download this free app.
• We posted a branded version of Greg Welch's excellent video about his father's discovery of chiasmus in the Book of Mormon on the Book of Mormon Central YouTube channel.
• We posted a branded version of Stephen Ehat's enlightening video about chiasmus on the Book of Mormon Central YouTube channel.
• We gathered a collection of chiasmus in the Book of Mormon resources on a single web page for easy reference.
